DJ, Producer, record label owner and radio presenter - this man works hard! Vlad Sokolovreleased eight 12"s in 2005 on various labels, including remixes for Smithmonger and Nitro. His remix of Diverted's Tholid on TCR was one of the biggest tunes of the year - nominated for Best Remix at Breakspoll 2006 and big enough to open Radio 1's Glastonbury 2005 broadcast.

Vlad is also well known as one third of Breakneck - original TCR artists, as well as being one half of Vlad & Ardisson. Vlad's own style has evolved from his involvement in these diverse projects and this is the main driving force behind his own label Sokolov Sounds, which he has spent the last eighteen months nurturing and is now on its tenth release ‘Sokolov EP’. His remix of Addicted, again by Diverted, was one of the highlights of the label and Vlad's year, getting even bigger props than Tholid. His anthem 'Plodout' has also been featured on DJ Icey's recent Y4K mix.

With already a string of releases in 2006 and the first Sokolov Mix Album ‘Perestroika’ just being released, Sokolov Sounds and Vlad look “Tholid” as rock, with strongest support coming from all the TCR crew - Rennie Pilgrem, JDS, BLIM, Chris Carter, Koma and Bones etc. Other big fans of Vlad's work include Laurent Garnier, Plump DJs, Freq Nasty, Future Funk Squad, Aquasky, Coldcut, Arthur Baker, Meat Katie and many more.

Having rocked parties with his stunning DJ sets across Europe in cities such as Budapest, Seville, Zurich, Rome, Barcelona and of course London in recent months, Vlad is on fire at the moment!
